The Energy Charter Secretariat ("ECS") maintains this website and grants permission to users to visit the website, as well as to download and copy the information, documents and materials (collectively “the Materials”) from it subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. Additional specific restrictions may also apply to specific Materials within this website.
The ECS reserves its exclusive right to alter, limit or discontinue the website or any Materials in any respect and to deny wholly or partly any users access to the website without notice. The ECS shall have no obligation to take the needs of any user into consideration in connection therewith.
Disclaimer
The ECS maintains this website to enhance public access to information about the Energy Investment Risk Assessment publication, the Energy Charter Treaty, the Energy Charter Process and the activities of the Energy Charter Secretariat (hereafter “the Information”).
The ECS provides the Information (including the ECS website) on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The ECS’ goal is to keep this Information accurate and complete, but it makes no representations, guarantees or warranties (express, implied or otherwise) of any kind concerning the Information, including, without limitation, no warranties of satisfactory quality, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, merchantability, up-to-datedness, title or against infringement of the proprietary or other rights of third parties. Users shall indemnify and hold harmless the ECS from and against any and all loss, including loss of reputation, loss of data and loss of revenue and any other claims, actions, damages and costs occasioned to, or suffered by, the ECS resulting from the user use of any Information.
Except where expressly stated, the Information does not necessarily represent the views or policies of the ECS and/or individual Member countries. The Information does not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the ECS concerning the legal status of any country or of its authorities. The Information and any maps included in it are without prejudice to the status of or sovereignty over any territory, to the delimitation of international frontiers and boundaries and to the name of any territory, city or area.
The ECS may mention or refer to specific companies, certain products or information on external websites. This does not imply ECS endorsement, preference or recommendation in such respect. Reliance on this third party material is at the user’s sole risk.
For site security purposes and to ensure that the ECS website remains available to all users, software programs may be used to monitor network traffic and to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change the Information, or otherwise cause damage and to detect other possible security breaches.
Any designation of or reference to a particular territory or geographic area, or the use of the terms “country” or “State” in this document, is without prejudice to the status of or sovereignty over any territory or area, as well as to the delimitation of international frontiers and boundaries.
