For full transparency, this page allows visitors to view the information used to score the EIRA countries. The answer to each question can be searched by country, year, indicator and sub-indicator.

The four EIRA indicators are cross-cutting and apply to more than one risk area. They reward countries for taking positive measures to limit arbitrary or discriminatory policy changes that could result in a breach of legal obligations.

Each indicator consists of two sub-indicators. Users can see the indicator and sub-indicator performance trajectory of countries over the years by using the below options.

EIRA assesses three types of risk to energy investment: (1) unpredictable policy and regulatory change (2) discrimination between domestic and foreign investors and (3) breach of State obligations.
